30th REUNION YES...there WILL be a 30th reunion for the Fort Hunt High School Class of 1971!!!
Mark your calendars for the weekend of June 15, 16 & 17, 2001.
The festivities will start on Friday evening at 7pm with a mixer party at The Holiday Inn on King St in Old Town with a cash bar & casual dress. A discounted block of rooms has been set aside for us at the Holiday Inn, 480 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 (Phone): 703/549-6080 (Fax): 703/684-6508 & also at the Morrison House 116 S. Saturday there will be a dinner and party in the Koran Room at The Fort Myers Officer's Club in Arlington. Cocktails at 7pm. Dinner at 8pm. Music, dancing and remembering will continue until 1am. There will be a cash bar and respectable dress is expected. The Club requires a tie and jacket, but if you don't plan on roaming from our room, the Club's policy of "no jeans or sneakers" should be satisfactory. A prepayment of $75 per person will be required by April 1, 2001. After April 1, any remaining space will be offered to alumni from other classes. Please forward me any names that you may have, that are not listed...snail mail too!!
Sunday there will be a picnic at Fort Hunt Park Pavillion A from 10 am to 6 pm. There is a wonderful line up of entertainment planned- to be announced soon. This will be a "bring your own food and drink (beer and wine are permitted, but no hard liquor.)" and will be open to ANY and ALL Fort Hunt alumni.There are no grills on the site, so if you want to grill ...bring your own.

It is imperative that the payments are received by April 1, 2001 to assure the count and make any extra space available to the other classes. If you plan to attend, PLEASE email me as soon as you can so we can get a head count going for the menus!!
We are also compiling a memorial board with pictures and/or memorabilia of all our fellow classmates who passed on too early in their lives and can only be with us in spirit. Please send me any information you may have as to how I can contact their families.
We will be expecting to see ALL of you this summer!
